I'm so excited to start blogging!  I’ve wanted to do this for a while now and I decided to just do it.  I want to start by sharing a little bit about myself.  I am a Southern girl, born and raised in the great state of Louisiana.  I have a wonderful husband, Tracy, of 13 years.  We have two children, Colin (8) and Lily (3).  You will be reading a lot about them.  I work full time at the library where I live.  It's is a great job.  I love to read, so being surrounded by books all day is wonderful.  I love Coke and chocolate!  This is not a healthy habit, and I am trying to eat better.  Football is a passion for me.  GEAUX SAINTS and LSU TIGERS!!!  You will learn from what I post that when I love something I become obsessed.  That’s not always a good thing.  My children are my heart and soul.  Things are not perfect by any means at my house, but I love them with all that I am.  Summer can’t come soon enough in our house.  Colin loves to swim and is a member of the local swim team.  Lily thinks she is as big as her brother, so we are going to start swim lessons for her soon.  It’s not easy working a full-time job and being a mother too.  I miss them while I’m at work, but I try to make the best of the time we have together.  I will be posting LOTS of pictures.  I don’t have a great camera yet, but I’m working on it.  These pics are from this past weekend.  We went down to Bayou Dorcheat and let the kids play on the little playground.  They even went hunting for frogs.  Sometimes it’s the simple things that are the most fun.

I should mention that Lily calls her Daddy "Best Friend".  We don't really know what started it, but it has stuck.  This is Best Friend pushing Lily on a swing ladder.
